REGISTRATION

Eligible teams will be accepted on a first-come basis. Registration must be received by August 31, 2021.
Games on Tuesday to Thursday will start at 6:30 pm. Games Friday to Sunday may start as early as 7:30 am

Divisions, Game Duration and Registration fee in Canadian funds.
U.S.A. teams add $50.00 per Hockey Canada rule.

No gate fee for players, staff or fans.

Eligibility Requirements

The Mississauga Early Bird Tournament operates under GTHL/Hockey Canada sanctions and regulations.

All players must be registered on 2022/2023 HC/AHAUS cards.

Team must produce properly signed letter of permission from their respective league.

TRAVEL TEAMS
As a condition of acceptance, travel teams will be required to register and stay at a Mississauga Early Bird sanctioned hotel. Final confirmation is subject to receipt of proof of registration at a tournament sanctioned hotel, which should be forwarded as soon as possible. See Hotels page for locations.

BODY CHECKING
Permitted at “AA” age groups for Minor U14, to U18 only. “A” teams will not be accepted from U14 – U18  due to differing body checking regulations

PAYMENT REQUIRED TO CONFIRM REGISTRATION
Confirmation of registration will occur only upon receipt of payment in full via cheque or e-transfer.

Refund Policies: Covid 19 | Non-Covid

COVID RELATED WITHDRAWAL
Any team unable to take part in the tournament due to restrictions placed on them by local public health units or any issues related to Covid-19 will receive a full refund.

NON- COVID RELATED WITHDRAWAL
For non-covid related withdrawals within 5 weeks prior to the start of the tournament up to 50% of the fee will be refunded only if a replacement team is secured. Refunds will be issued by cheque. Please allow 4-6 weeks after the tournament for refund to arrive.
